Most of the work I do as a furniture maker is by commission. Commissioning a piece of furniture is a relatively simple process. After the initial contact a meeting is arranged to discuss the project and to gauge as clearly as possible the clients needs. The spark of an idea usually appears at this point and the interaction with the client is often extremely inspiring, leading to new ideas and stretching the designers creativity. This initial contact is followed by proposals which are then finalised according to the clients preferences, with a quotation for completion of the piece. It is a great pleasure for me to share my love of wood and furniture making , and for my work to find it’s way to an appreciative customer.
